Punjabi Translation Services
The most spoken language in Pakistan, and one almost nobody handles properly in both of its scripts.
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ
Punjabi is written in two completely different scripts. Shahmukhi, a Perso-Arabic script running right to left, is used in Pakistan. Gurmukhi, running left to right, is used in Indian Punjab. Same language, same speakers, mutually unreadable on the page. Which one you need depends entirely on which side of the border your document came from or is going to. If you are not sure, send us the document and we will tell you what it is.
Land and property records, older court documents, family records, and rural civil registrations, particularly historical documents where Punjabi rather than Urdu was the recording language. Also academic and personal documents for visa files.
Handwritten Shahmukhi from older Pakistani land records is genuinely difficult, and it is the kind of document that gets refused elsewhere. Our Lahore linguists read it. This is exactly the work we mean when we say we take languages other agencies turn down.
We issue certified Punjabi translation on our letterhead and under our stamp for embassy submission. Tell us the receiving embassy and we will confirm what it requires.
