How long it takes.

It depends on the language, the subject, and the format, so we do not publish a table that would be wrong for most of what we do. Here is what we do instead. When we quote, we give you a date. That date is a commitment in writing, not an estimate. If your deadline is not achievable at the quality we work at, we tell you at quote stage rather than at delivery.

What moves the price.

Six things, and we will tell you which ones apply before you commit.

• Word count

  Or character count for Chinese and Japanese, which have no spaces. We tell you the conversion first.
• How rare the pair is

  Urdu to English is not Brahui to German.
• How technical the subject is

  A subject-matched linguist costs more than a generalist, and is the reason the work is accepted.
• How fast you need it

  A real deadline costs money. An invented one costs you money for nothing, so tell us the real one.
• Source format

  Clean Word is cheaper than a phone photograph of a handwritten land record. We can do both.
• Certification

  Letterhead, stamp and a signed statement of accuracy.

We do not publish a rate card, because a rate card would be wrong for most of what we do. We publish what moves the price instead, so the quote is never a surprise.

Payment terms.

Terms are set per client. Some pay in advance, some on delivery, some on 30, 45 or 60 days. Tell us what your procurement process needs and we will fit it.
